About
Momiji Study
Momiji (紅葉, autumn maple) is a study map for Japanese kanji. Instead of a flat list, every character sits in a graph of the characters it shares a radical or component with, the characters it shares a sound with, and the characters it shares a meaning group with. Each connection is labelled with why it exists, and every page carries readings, stroke order, and real vocabulary.
The guided five-minute session studies a few kanji at a time, checks them with recall questions, and schedules reviews with a small spaced-repetition model. Progress lives only in your browser — there are no accounts.
Data sources and licences
Momiji Study is built on open data. The relationship labels (radical, phonetic family, meaning group) are learning associations authored for this app; the underlying dictionary and stroke data come from the projects below, with thanks.
