Momiji turns a large kanji list into a set of small, memorable paths. Start with one character, notice what it shares with the next, and keep the relationships that help you remember.

Search or choose

Search by kanji, English meaning, or reading. You can also browse JLPT study lists and component pages.

Read the map

Radical links show shared shapes, phonetic links show related on'yomi, and semantic links show meaning or topic groups.

Open the detail

Inspect readings, stroke count, vocabulary, components, and every visible relationship for the selected kanji.

Make it yours

Mark kanji as known, use Path to connect a familiar kanji to a new one, and return to recent history whenever you like.

A good first session

  1. Open the JLPT N5 kanji guide.
  2. Choose 水 and inspect its water-related component family.
  3. Open a vocabulary example, replay the strokes, and mark it known when it feels familiar.
  4. Choose a related character and use Path to see how your known kanji can lead there.
